This year I will be getting back to reading or listening to books. Not only will I learn new things from reading these books, I will also be applying what I have learned from these books to my life. Most of the books I plan on reading this year will be books that will help in the my spiritual growth as well as my finances. I’m finishing up with reading (listening) to Rise And Grind by Daymond John which is a great book on executing the things you set out to do and how to keep moving to reach your goals in becoming successful.

For the month of February I will be reading Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, I’ve heard positive things about this book and how it’s been a great help to people all over the world throughout many many years after Mr. Hill wrote it in 1937. It’s a book about how you can change your thoughts and patterns to experience happiness and success and have the belief that you will be happy, positive and successful no matter how your life is looking at the present time, it’s about applying certain principles to your life to build your mind for the positive outcomes and living your life to reflect that belief.

Here’re Napoleon Hill’s principles of success.

  1. Definiteness of Purpose

  2. Positive Mental Attitude

  3. Self-Discipline

  4. Personal Initiative

  5. Enthusiasm

  6. Creative Vision

  7. Accurate Thinking

  8. Controlled Attention

  9. Learning From Adversity and Defeat

  10. Maintenance of Sound Health

  11. Budgeting Time and Money

  12. Pleasing Personality

  13. Applied Faith

  14. Teamwork

  15. Going The Extra Mile

  16. Master-Mind

  17. Cosmic Habit-Force

To achieve something, you must first conceive what you want. Your definite purpose, knowing where you want to go. Then, you must have a positive mental attitude to go with it.

In other words, you must believe you are going to achieve your definite purpose, then you must build your world around it using all these principles.

Let me know in the comments below if you have read Rise And Grind or Think And Grow Rich, if so, did you learn anything or applied any of the information in those books to your life?
